The project in Eastern Europe takes action with the training on participative democracy in Mariupol
During the last week of September, from the 24th to the 26th, the project “Empowering local authorities and civil society to deliver solutions with participative democracy” , supported by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) programme, entered a new phase.

ALDA is now a member of the EESC Liaison Group
ALDA has proudly become a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Liaison Group. The Liaison Group was set up by EESC in 2004 in order to “provide a framework for political dialogue and cooperation between the EESC and the European organisations and networks the Group liaises with, as well as other EU institutions, on cross-cutting issues of common interest”.

Regional training enhancing monitoring and evaluation of local policies
The role of monitoring and evaluation in evidence-based advocacy on local level was the topic of the 2nd Regional training for the Balkan Network for Local Democracy. The 3-day event took place from 10th to 12th September 2019 in Knjazevac, Serbia, organized by the Local Democracy Agency Central and Southern Serbia.

LoGov - Research Coordination Committee
Over 16 and 17 September, 2019 NALAS will participate at the Research Coordination Committee of the H2020-MSCA-RISE-2018 project LoGov – Local Government and the Changing Urban-Rural Interplay. Participative Democracy in Comrat, a tool to support local authorities to deliver services
Participative democracy, local authorities and civil society working together, is the core of ALDA’s work. We are working together with local partners to assess the potential of these actions, to train and empower local citizens, elected leaders and civil servants, in order to find together good ways to solve problems.

First Annual conference of the EMEN project
ALDA attended, together with all the project’s partners, the EMEN project conference entitled “Why Migrant Entrepreneurship Matters?” in the Social Impact Lab in Munich on the 23-24 April 2018. The Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives announces call for proposals for the 2018-2019 projects
For over three decades, Canada has funded modest-scale development assistance projects in over 120 countries through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). Promoting good governance at the metropolitan level: ALDA launches the project MEANING
MEANING - Metropolitan Europeans in Active Network, Inducing Novelties in Governance is the name of the new project in which ALDA will actively participate in the next two years.
